THANK YOU to everyone who loves and supports these wild horses. Without your help, we would not be able to do this. However, together we did it. With your help to secure roofing materials we were able to take our shelter to NV so we would have a dry place to store the hay these horses so desperately need to survive. Matt and I spent 4 days in NV with some wonderful folks who helped get the shelter up. We were able to camp in our trailer to save funds on lodging, so the Rolling Foal Hospital is being used for many wild horse endeavors. Matt is heading back with Tim (a friend and volunteer) to finish some structural aspects and we will be getting temporary siding (tarps) until we can afford more permanent siding. Again, we want to say thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. Y'all covered the fuel and roofing material costs and we so appreciate that. There are many beautiful horses waiting to be adopted. We are trying to secure as many homes as possible before the bad weather inhibits transportation. That being said, Matt and I will be heading to Utah to deliver two of the wild ones in the very near future. We also have another group of 5 heading out in the next week or two. So that means a few less mouths to feed, PTL! Of course we have to thank the crew who will be staying here taking care of the critters while we are gone. However, it is necessary for us to move Rojo and Waylon's bands over to this facility in the next few weeks. But before we can do that, we need to purchase electric fencing, fence posts etc. Matt and I are taking all that we have at Chilly Pepper that are not currently in use and if anyone else has any t-posts they might want to donate, that would be awesome. There is a beautiful pasture across from where the horses are now, and once it is fenced we will actually have some natural feed available which will also save on hay costs. This property has an abundance of water, PTL, and in the drought we are in, that is simply a gift from God. He is blessing this project as we are operating on fumes like always. No one involved in this project actually "signed up for it", but when you are minutes away from horses being loaded on the slaughter truck there isn't time to figure out the rest of the equation. So God put this in front of us and we are definitely hands on and very involved in this project. We are working with the Let 'em Run Foundation, Shirley and Bruce Allen, John D and many other wonderful folks who simply stepped up because there was really no other choice. So we celebrate every donation and are so very appreciative of the love and support y'all continue to show for these beautiful animals. (please know that they are so appreciated and I will get out thank you's as soon as I am able. Unfortunately right now is an extreme "boots on the ground" situation, which means my paperwork is piling up and I am sadly behind, but I will get to it as soon as I can.) On the home front, Cowboy has shared the story of our wild horses as he starred at several community events. He rocked them, (of course - he is a mustang) and we are spreading as much information about the plight of America's Heritage, our beloved horses with each appearance. All of the babies bring such joy to the children (and the big kids too), at these events, and we are grateful to be part of such a supportive community. He has several more appearances in the next month and we know he will continue to make us "mustang proud"!** We thank you for the love and support and for being part of Chilly Pepper - Miracle Mustang and making it possible to keep caring for the critters that God sends our way. Please remember we still have two beautiful little souls at Chilly Pepper - Miracle Mustang in Shingletown looking for their forever homes. They are ready for adoption and you are more than welcome to come and visit them. 530 474 5197 if you would like to chat.
