Rolling Foal Hospital - And Running Horse Picture Raffle

Great news!

God is once again showering us with His blessings.  Time after time He shows us that this what he wants us to do.   After many years of praying and looking and trying to find the perfect "Rolling Foal ICU", we are blessed to have found the perfect one.

It needs some TLC and most likely a new transmission, but we could not have asked for a more perfect vehicle.  It even has a lift, so when we pick up a horse like Precious, who could barely stand and could not get up by herself at all, or even try to help, we can load them much easier and safer, with much less stress.

There are many reasons we have been searching so long for a vehicle like this.  Often times we have to pick up critically ill or newborn foals in poor weather.  It is hard on the babies to be in a cold trailer, and is also hard for them if the weather is too hot.  Extreme temperatures can be the deadly to an orphan foal in a matter of minutes.

Our response time for pick up will be shortened by nearly an hour in many cases.  This can also mean life and death to a baby.  You have to drive 55 when towing in CA, and in our van we will be able to travel the speed limit.  Every second can count with these little ones....

We will be able to monitor and maintain appropriate temperatures for the condition of the babies as needed, another very critical area.  It often takes us 3 or 4 hours longer than normal to get home if a baby is in dire straights as we stop about every 20 minutes to administer fluids etc..    I will be able to care for them the whole way home and we will not have to spend those extra hours in a moving vehicle and can get the little ones tucked in all safe and sound in the nursery.

Not sure about y'all, but I am scared to death when I have to pull my trailer on icy roads.  Where we live, you can go nowhere, and I mean literally, without going up or down winding and steep mountain roads.  Pulling a horse trailer in these conditions is very nerve wracking at best, and we would be much safer (especially the babies), if we are in a van and not towing thousands of pounds on icy mountain roads.

The difficult part is that we need to re-do or put in a new transmission.  So we are  going to RAFFLE OFF this beautiful:

I absolutely love it, but am hoping that y'all will love it enough to buy a raffle ticket for $5 in the hopes that you might be the lucky winner, and we can raise funds to fix up our little van.

You can go to the Donations page and use the donate button and make sure you put for RAFFLE - raise funds for Rolling Foal Hospital...... You can also go directly to Paypal and Palominodancer@yahoo.com. Please be sure to mention you want raffle tickets. We will post the numbers as we go and hopefully we can "git 'er done". Soooooooooooooooo excited!!!

Tickets are $5 each, and you can also purchase them via check by sending it to Chilly Pepper - Miracle Mustang, 34694 Sidebottom Rd., Shingletown, CA  96088 and please put the notation "Raffle Tickets".
