  Slaughter bound Filly & Baby 911! These precious girls NEED YOUR HELP NOW! We need funds to save these precious lives, get them vetted, rehabbed and transported. Our current vet bill is around $4000 and TRIXIE NEEDS urgent care. Update: Received an urgent call from the Catcher last night for a lone orphan and a yearling(?) filly in the shipping pen. No sign of Mom, and baby being roughed up by the other horses. I watched when I arrived as they tried to grab her by the neck and were kicking at her. _They were not trying to kill her, merely kicking and biting to let her know they do not accept her. Although the nicks and cuts don't look deadly, can you imagine how much it hurts to be swiped hard enough by an angry hoof to break the skin? _She has them on her legs, thighs, belly, and pretty much everywhere. So I can only imagine how bruised she is feeling. _ She hasn't been like this forever or she would not be here. So most likely one of the horses smacked her little face and that is why she has the swelling in her eye and head trauma. She collapsed in the trailer while we were waiting for the vet, although I truly think pure exhaustion and lack of food had a lot to do with it. When that adrenalin goes away, the exhaustion hits and down they go. Hopefully it's that and not something else. I almost didn't post, because sometimes the lies and ugliness out there become overwhelming. However, we are ALWAYS transparent. Losing Rumors and Norman was beyond devastating, and I am praying hard that this beautiful little one will fight hard and stay with us. However, it is always up to God, and I will always fight as long as the babies are wanting to. I didn't want to put folks through more heartbreak if she doesn't make it, but SHE needs YOUR help so I can take care of her. Trixie has a lot of blood in her urine and some from her Umbilical Cord. Doc said most likely this is from trauma to either her kidneys or bladder (possibly from being kicked?) She is on anti inflammatory meds, had her B vitamins, pain killers, ulcer guard, had her Tetanus and Selenium injections, and now we wait and pray! Tricks is the yearling she was trying to stay close to and some of the folks were thinking "young Mama". Doc says no, and Tricks wants nothing to do with the baby. However, she also needs your help!
