It's ALMOST "Go Time for Mercedes"
At least we think so, LOL!!! She is actually starting to bag up. Doc said she is "getting ready". (Still could be weeks, but could be days). She is changing quickly, and has been "adjusting baby" where she wants her. She is showing lots of signs of prepping for labor. HOWEVER, WE STILL NEED TO FINISH THE "BABY BASKET" The following are goals to be finished and put in the basket BEFORE baby gets here. I NEED to finish paying off the vet bill prior to baby coming. We need grain for Mama, shavings, straw, fresh hay and Mare & Foal grain to make sure Mama has lots of milk, The MINUTE she starts showing she is starting labor, I am calling DOC!!! Mercedes and I have been through way too much and that baby looks huge. She is a Mama's girl and I want the best for her. I know you all do too. Everything is going to be done in our power to have a happy healthy Mama & baby. So I want Doc there just in case! We still don't have our hay yet, and we need to get lots of bedding for Mama and the little one. We are a frozen and icy mess and it is not the ideal time for a little tiny one to come in to this world. So I want her world to be warm and cozy. I now have safe tires, so when I need to haul them home they will be in, and towed by safe vehicles. Thank you so much for that! Please say a prayer and step up and help us get ready for our newest little one. ON THE HOMEFRONT, we just brought in ANOTHER starvation case. You can't really see how poor his condition is, but he is much worse than Grandma Gladys. However, we are not taking off his blanket just to show how thin he is. You can get an idea from his pix from the rear and his neck when he is eating. Both he and Gladys are "in love" lol, and both need lots of good feed and lots of love and care. (Obviously this also costs the rescue to have someone on site and taking care of our special needs and permanent residents in NV until I can get back home.) I know Doc will be a lot happier coming out in the middle of the night if she knows she is getting paid lol. BABY BASKET GOODIES WANTED! Hay in NV - will be $1500 for the 1st load Goldendale Vet $1400+ (approx.)
