_An invitation to join us
in a candlelight vigil paying tribute to the
40th ANNIVERSARY OF THE WILD FREE ROAMING HORSES AND BURROS ACT
and to honor HONEY BANDIT
AMERICA'S POSTER BOY TO STOP THE ROUNDUPS!
PALO CEDRO, CALIFORNIA, will join 29 US cities from San Francisco to Central Park, Canada, Sweden, and England in an international candlelight vigil on Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 4 to 6:30 pm.
Join us as we honor Wild Horse Annie and the horses and burros she fought so hard to protect, as well as our own Honey Bandit, whom God chose to survive and help carry on her fight. We will be lighting 97 candles, one for each of the worst injuries that Honey Bandit survived. We will be joined by "Suri", another miracle mustang that survived through two snow storms, and was without a mom or milk/food for a week in the Virginia Range area of Nevada. Come and meet two mustangs that were truly born in the wild.
WHEN: Thursday, December 15, 2011 - 4:00 - 7:00
WHERE: Holiday Market Shopping Center – In front of Another Chance
Animal Welfare League –
9384 Deschutes Rd, Palo Cedro

Winner of Essay Contest Announced 6:00 p.m.
NOTE: You might want to bring a lawn chair, a blanket, and some hand
warmers. Though we will have 97 candles, please bring your own candle to hold ( flameless is preferred , but not required.).
We will have a "coffee truck" to help us keep warm.
Please call Palomino with any questions. We still need candles, and help setting up. If you have contacted me and I have not answered, please call me again. I had surgery a couple of weeks ago and am just starting to "re-enter" the real world. God Bless ya'll for your help and for coming and sharing this important anniversary. Without Wild Horse Annie, and the thousands of children who wrote letters and brought attention to the plight of our beloved wild horses, it is obvious that part of our National heritage would no longer exist.
