When it rains it pours. I really need help to get the truck back on the road.
After picking up Popeye, getting him vetted and starting home, the truck began to vibrate, and it just didn't "feel right". Long story short, I listened to the voice in my head and leaned on plain ole experience. There was something very wrong so I pulled over. After $500 for towing, (US Rider covered $1200), and finding out what happened, I need $2100 to cover the costs and pick up the truck today. TWO of my tires were separating. We have no idea why, but it would have been a train wreck and It could have been deadly. So now I need 4 new ones and they are making sure everything else is good to go. Conveniently, US Rider expires so I have to pay that renewal this week as well. Another unexpected $400, but well worth it. They are amazing. We raised enough funds to get Popeye picked up, Thank you! (fuel is about $350 one way), and we paid for Popeye and had some milk money. That is not hiring a hauler, and me and my broken leg doing it for free. Fuel is crazy expensive. I am really worried about the future, and wondering if we will be able to keep doing this. I know things are tough, and I have AT LEAST 3 BABIES I am waiting to pick up and MOST LIKELY there will be more. We haven't even begun to cover Popeye's vet bill or food for even a month. I am very concerned that I will not be able to say yes to saving the upcoming orphans. However, if we don't get the truck back on the road, I will definitely not be able to grab the foals we are standing by for. They are fixing the truck as I type this, and calling for payment this afternoon, I told them I needed some time and started praying. lol I am so grateful I listened to that voice. God always keeps us safe, and it had driven 1300 miles in the last 3 days, and broke down in a safe place with actual phone service. God is good and He has kept the rescue kids and I safe so many times. I really appreciate your help! (I was supposed to be spending my birthday with my grandson, not grabbing babies lol). But Popeye is worth it. IT'S GO TIME!!! Anyone who wants to help is much appreciated. PLEASE HELP AND SHARE THIS FAR & WIDE! THANK YOU to everyone who has already donated.
