Baby Donkey Shrek is only 5 days old and crashing. His situation is critical and he was rushed to the hospital for an emergency plasma transfusion, fluids and meds.
Shrek's Mom decided she did not want him, and would not let him nurse. We are not sure if this is because she is still a baby at only about 2 years old, or if she knows something is wrong with Shrek and is behaving like they do in the wild. She was starting to get pretty rough with him and it was clear he had to be pulled immediately.
In the wild, if a baby is sick or has something wrong, the babies are often just left behind or even killed.
Please help us help Shrek. His plasma was over $500??? and this is just the beginning. He also needs lots of prayers. We are in 24/7 Critical care mode and he is literally hour by hour.

Will you help me save another life? Meet "Lil Man", who is anything but little. He is a BLM kid and was working on his 3rd strike. We all know what that means. He is one of the homeliest, goofiest looking kids we have ever tried to save, but man is he sweet, and I couldn't "not" give him a chance. I said yes on Faith and the trust that y'all always come through for these precious souls.
He was a "medical", which means I was told he most likely needed surgery on his hocks as the guesstimated diagnosis was OCD. His legs look horrible and he is just a hot mess, but wants to run and play. Doc said give him a chance and let him grow into the mess that is his body.
He would not have had any chance of living if he was deemed needing surgery, so we were asked to give him his last chance. I could not wait on the decision, as I only had a couple hours to make sure he was safe. The folks at BLM were amazing and helped me get through the paperwork, as he had been "returned" by someone else previously.
Apparently, his body is growing way too fast and his poor joints are not keeping up and they often end up with bone chips floating around causing pain and crippling issues. His left front foot buckles horribly to the side when he moves and is tired. He is just a baby, about 3 years old, and the look in his eyes was "please give me a chance".
We really need more help with milk pellets and powder and to pay off the vet bill. The babies are going through a bucket of milk powder about every 5 days, in addition to milk pellets. We had a wonderful donation for big bales of hay, but the babies need small bales and a completely different mix. They also need their special baby grain. We were blessed to have Dustin Time come and take some of the babies to their rescue. However Chilly Pepper incurred all the initial costs and still have babies. Arielle is doing much better, (the one who was attacked by the mountain lion), although we needed a special vet visit and I also need more clay for her. She says THANK YOU!
I was told when they found Arielle they said we have 2 choices. We either turn her loose and let nature take it's course, or "I know a lady". Thankfully, they brought her to me.

NOW I need to pay for 4 more babies and one of them is badly injured. She seems to have been attacked by a predator, and Doc is on the way here this afternoon to see if we can save her.
The babies just keep coming, and I am asking honestly, IS SAVING THESE PRECIOUS LIVES something y'all WANT TO OR WILL KEEP DOING?
I feel like everyone has given so much already, but these littles have NO WHERE ELSE to go, and they are too young to sit in a pen and wait to be sold. These kids need milk and lots of TLC.
Do you want me to keep saying yes for at least as long as they are absolutely dependent on milk powder/pellets and someone to take care of them 24/7?
It's hard to keep trying to raise funds. Without them we simply cannot keep saving lives. (I want to go home and be on vacation lol, but these lives are precious and important). As always, I will keep on doing the work if y'all want to keep doing this, but I really need to know if I can say yes or no for at least the next few months.
You are amazing and God has blessed all the horses and babies you have saved over the years.

3 Orphans need your help asap. I am actually on the road to hopefully pick up all 3 babies if we can get the funds. The babies are currently standing alone in the pen, waiting for us to come and buy them and give them a chance at a great life.
We need funds to save them, vet them, buy milk etc. and to get me up there to get them. Please help save them. I cannot do it without you.

Hire help back at the rescue in NV while I am gone $25-50 PER DAY depending on the needs of the moment.
Vetting $200 for farm call for wild, vetting and health certificate if no complications or special needs. Popeye's bill will be much higher due to his critical condition. He is feeling much better now though. We still need to pay that as well.
I NEED HELP TO SAVE THESE BABIES. I committed before we had to repair the truck. Please help me keep my word and save these 3 babies. I should be there in about 8 or 9 hours, and I need to know if we can save them all.
I am not sure if we will be able to keep doing this in the future, but for now, we NEED to save these babies.

When it rains it pours. I really need help to get the truck back on the road.
After picking up Popeye, getting him vetted and starting home, the truck began to vibrate, and it just didn't "feel right". Long story short, I listened to the voice in my head and leaned on plain ole experience. There was something very wrong so I pulled over.
After $500 for towing, (US Rider covered $1200), and finding out what happened, I need $2100 to cover the costs and pick up the truck today. TWO of my tires were separating. We have no idea why, but it would have been a train wreck and It could have been deadly. So now I need 4 new ones and they are making sure everything else is good to go. Conveniently, US Rider expires so I have to pay that renewal this week as well. Another unexpected $400, but well worth it. They are amazing.
We raised enough funds to get Popeye picked up, Thank you! (fuel is about $350 one way), and we paid for Popeye and had some milk money. That is not hiring a hauler, and me and my broken leg doing it for free. Fuel is crazy expensive.
I am really worried about the future, and wondering if we will be able to keep doing this. I know things are tough, and I have AT LEAST 3 BABIES I am waiting to pick up and MOST LIKELY there will be more. We haven't even begun to cover Popeye's vet bill or food for even a month. I am very concerned that I will not be able to say yes to saving the upcoming orphans. However, if we don't get the truck back on the road, I will definitely not be able to grab the foals we are standing by for.
They are fixing the truck as I type this, and calling for payment this afternoon, I told them I needed some time and started praying. lol
I am so grateful I listened to that voice. God always keeps us safe, and it had driven 1300 miles in the last 3 days, and broke down in a safe place with actual phone service. God is good and He has kept the rescue kids and I safe so many times.
I really appreciate your help! (I was supposed to be spending my birthday with my grandson, not grabbing babies lol). But Popeye is worth it.
