Hi all,
Just wanted to get out the challenge from Manzanita School in Redding, David Gilstrap's 4th grade class. They are challenging all schools everywhere to try and raise the most money for Honey Bandit and his trip to Washington DC. Think how much this could help if kids all over the U.S. Were sitting down with their families at the dinner table talking about our beloved wild horses and bringing this to their parent's attention. It Is so time to make a change before more mustangs die and are crippled, maimed or torn from their families. We will be coming out with a 'formal challenge" from the kids, but just wanted to hopefully start getting this out there. Hugs p Note: In case you think that mom has forgotten about me, well she hasn't, BUT ...... I am punishing her for loving that other little horse HB. I won't let her take any good pictures of me or get any good video. I either run away when she is video taping and hide behind the big straw bale in the field, or if she has her camera I make sure I look my absolute worst. Ha ha. I lower my head and leave my ears all wacked out. I am such a beautiful girl, but even though mom has taken mass pictures of me lately, there hasn't been even one that shows how beautiful I am.
I am loving life though. I am growing like crazy and I love my new brothers Tucker and Caleb, (who also had "grocery issues") when they were little and my sissy "Lacy". She is so tiny and beautiful and she is over 2 years old. They are all Virginia Range Mustangs. So we are getting quite the crew here. It is fun to run around and buck and see who is the fastest. I am, of course, best at everything. Hee hee Today mom is putting Penny and Jackson and Dakota out with us, so we should get some good runs in. Penny and Jackson are California mustangs and Dakota was on a string at a ranch where he had to go up and down the same trail all the time with different riders and he started getting bad habits because he was miserable. He fell in love with mom so she rescued him from that lifestyle. Apparently he bit someone because they jerked his cinch really tight all at once. (guess what - they deserved it and I would bite someone too if they did that to me. If you don't treat a horse with respect, then don't expect the horse to treat you with respect.) I know there are horses that do fine like that, but Dakota is way too smart and has too much personality for that. Anyway, mom promises to keep trying until she gets some fabulous pictures that are worthy of my fabulous self as soon as she can. She will also get some of the other mustangs so ya'll can see how fabulous we are doing. Take Care and God Bless.
